Mata Kaushalya Mandir at Chandkhuri, near Raipur, Chhattisgarh, is dedicated to Kaushalya, the mother of Lord Rama. According to Hindu tradition, Chhattisgarh was the maternal home of Mata Kaushalya, making this temple uniquely significant as the only temple in the world dedicated to Rama's mother. The temple is located on the banks of the Kaushalya Sagar lake and is an important pilgrimage and heritage site in the region. India Post issued this PPC from Chand Khuri BO on 22 January 2025 — a date coinciding with the first anniversary of the consecration of the Ram Mandir at Ayodhya — to celebrate the Ram Van Gaman Path and Chhattisgarh's deep connection with the Ramayana tradition.
