This is a Special Cancellation issued by Raipur Head Post Office, Chhattisgarh, PIN 492001, dated 15 July 2025 to commemorate the successful return of Axiom Mission 4 (AX-4). The octagonal cancellation design features a capsule, a globe with crew country representations (USA, India, Poland, Hungary), the text 'Axiom Mission 4', 'AX-4', and 'Successful Return'. Applied on an 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav' postcard bearing an Atal Bihari Vajpayee stamp. A companion cancellation to PC-0006 (launch) from the same post office.
Axiom Mission 4 (AX-4) successfully returned to Earth on 14–15 July 2025 after completing scientific research aboard the International Space Station (ISS). Indian astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla, flying as Pilot and Mission Specialist, became the first Indian to visit the ISS and the second Indian in space after Rakesh Sharma (1984). Shukla represented ISRO and the Indian Air Force on this commercial mission. The successful return was a landmark moment in Indian human spaceflight history and a precursor to India's Gaganyaan programme. This special cancellation from Raipur HO marks the mission's conclusion.
