Dr. Roy was awarded the Bharat Ratna, India's highest civilian award, in 1961. He played a key role in establishing institutions such as the Indian Medical Association and the Medical Council of India. India Post issued this Special cancellation from Thrissur Head Post Office, Kerala, on 1 July 2025 to mark the occasion and recognise the medical community's service to society.
