Sri Kalahasteeswara Temple, located in Srikalahasti, Andhra Pradesh, is one of the five major Shiva temples (Pancha Bhuta Stalas) representing the element of air (Vayu). It is a sacred Shaivite pilgrimage site with origins dating back to antiquity and is associated with Rahukalam worship. The temple's gopuram and the Vayu Lingam are among its most distinctive features. India Post honoured this ancient temple by introducing a Permanent Pictorial Cancellation from the local post office in 1980, making it one of the earlier PPCs issued in Andhra Pradesh. The temple continues to attract thousands of pilgrims annually.
