The rectangular cancellation displays a line-art architectural elevation of the Basilica of Bom Jesus in Old Goa. The inscription at the base reads in Hindi and English: "संत फ्रांसिस जेवियर के पवित्र अवशेषों का सexposition दिवस / Solemn Opening Day of the Exposition of the Sacred Relics of St. Francis Xavier", alongside "वेल्हा गोवा 403402 VELHA GOA" and the date "21.11.2024" / "05.01.2025".
Issued to mark the 18th Decennial Exposition of the Sacred Relics of Saint Francis Xavier (held from November 21, 2024 to January 5, 2025), this special cancellation commemorates one of the most significant religious and cultural events in Goa. Occurring once every ten years, the sacred relics of St. Francis Xavier are brought out from the Basilica of Bom Jesus to Se Cathedral for public veneration. Issued through the Velha Goa Sub Post Office, the cancellation commemorates Old Goa’s UNESCO World Heritage religious architecture and pilgrimage history.
