Sri Narayana Guru (1856–1928) was a revered saint, philosopher, and social reformer from Kerala who challenged the oppressive caste system. He established Sivagiri Mutt at Varkala as a center for spiritual learning and social equality. His teachings — encapsulated in the motto "One Caste, One Religion, One God for Humanity" — inspired the upliftment of marginalized communities across Kerala and beyond. The Sivagiri pilgrimage he founded remains a major annual event, and he is widely regarded as one of the greatest social reformers of modern India.
