The Shrine of Our Lady of Holy Rosary at Karumathampatti is a Catholic pilgrimage centre situated about 27 kilometres from Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu. Devotion to Our Lady of the Rosary at this site has been ongoing since the 17th century when Portuguese missionaries introduced Christianity to this region. The shrine is under the Diocese of Coimbatore and attracts thousands of pilgrims, especially during the annual feast celebrated in October. The region of Karumathampatti has a significant Christian heritage tracing back to early colonial missionary activity in South India, and the shrine reflects the syncretic religious culture of Tamil Nadu.
